The Historic Preservation Commission has jurisdiction over local historic districts and landmarks, not National districts or landmarks.
The Commission is comprised of nine members appointed to three year terms. Members should have special interest, education and/or experience in historic preservation. Members must include at least two architects and one attorney and may not hold any other elected or appointed position in City government.
The Commission usually meets in the Heman Park Community Center, 975 Pennsylvania Avenue, at 6:30 pm on the third Thursday of the month. Check the University City calendar for notices of a meeting as some months the meetings are canceled due to a lack of business.
