Historic Preservation


The Historic Preservation Commission (HPC) is an advisory body, providing recommendations on historic preservation issues to the Department of Community Development. Staff of the Department of Community Development is responsible for carrying out the recommendations of the HPC and enforcing the ordinances relating to historic landmarks and districts. The Historic Preservation Commission currently consists of seven members, appointed by City Council.
